Formcraft uses generative tools to visualise product concepts. This page explains exactly what those outputs are — and, just as importantly, what they are not.

01Outputs are conceptual

Everything Formcraft generates — concept directions, image sets, orthographic-style views, exploded views, spec-sheet layouts, turntable renders and Design Pack exports — is a conceptual visualisation and an indicative starting point. It is not a manufacturing drawing and not a guarantee of the finished product.

02Not certified engineering

Formcraft does not provide certified engineering, structural, electrical, mechanical or safety assessments, and does not issue CE, UKCA, FCC or any other compliance or certification determinations.

Before you tool up or manufacture, a qualified engineer or factory must review and confirm dimensions, tolerances, materials, wall thicknesses and safety. This is especially important for any load-bearing, pressure-bearing, electrical, heat-generating, food-contact, child-safety or medical component.

03Dimensions are indicative

All measurements are indicative and clearly labelled as such. They are intended to help you brief a factory and understand rough proportions, not to be used as final production dimensions. Real parts must be validated by measurement and engineering review.

04No guarantee of manufacturability, cost or performance

A concept looking good in a render does not mean it can be made as shown, at a given cost, or that it will perform as expected. Manufacturing process, material behaviour, tolerances and assembly all affect the real outcome. Treat outputs as a design conversation aid.

05Originality and rights

Generated outputs do not constitute an intellectual-property clearance. You are responsible for ensuring your design is original and does not infringe third-party rights, and we recommend your own freedom-to-operate check before commercial use. See the Acceptable Use policy and Content License.

06Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Formcraft outputs. Decisions to prototype, tool, manufacture or sell a product are yours, made with appropriate professional advice. SLD DESIGN SERVICES LIMITED is not liable for outcomes arising from reliance on conceptual outputs beyond the limits set out in the Terms of Service.
